DEDICATED TO BRINGING SELF-REGULATION TOOLS INTO THE CLASSROOM

In today’s educational landscape, the classroom has evolved beyond a space for predictable subjects like science, math, and history. Educators recognize that fostering students’ emotional intelligence (EQ) is just as crucial as developing their intellectual abilities (IQ)
In this three-hour workshop Nurturing Emotional Intelligence in Students: Implementing Self-regulation Tools in the Classroom, we first explore an expanded model and pathway of emotional intelligence designed specifically for educators but relevant across all professional sectors and spaces. At its heart, this model reveals something both humbling and empowering: your greatest influence in the classroom isn't your curriculum or your credentials - it's the quality of connection and co-regulation you bring to every interaction with every student.
Emphasizing sustainable impact in the classroom begins before you ever walk through the door. We'll explore how tending to your own self-regulation, through genuine, nourishing sources of connection and co-regulation in your own life — is not a luxury. It's your most important professional responsibility.
From there, we move into the practical - because let's be honest, understanding is only the beginning. We'll introduce a collection of evidence-based, self-regulation tools that are simple to access, easy to weave into the rhythm of any classroom, and designed to benefit everyone in the room, teacher and students alike.
Rooted in science and requiring no special training or equipment, these tools meet you exactly where you are! What makes them truly remarkable is their cumulative power. The more consistently they're practiced, the deeper their impact grows - quietly reshaping the emotional landscape of your classroom, one small moment at a time.
You'll leave our time together with something real.
A deeper understanding of emotional intelligence as a living, relational practice - one that doesn't just change how you teach, but how you experience teaching. And a growing toolkit of practical, accessible self-regulation tools that are yours to carry into every classroom, every morning, every interaction.
Because the most important thing you'll ever bring to your students isn't a lesson plan. It's you - regulated, connected, and present.

In this two-part interactive and experiential workshop Empowering Self-regulation Through Co-regulation for Educators and Students we delve into the transformative power of self-regulation tools, emphasizing the vital role of co-regulation in fostering emotional well-being in the classroom. By leveraging insights gained from understanding the nervous system and the relationship between self-regulation and co-regulation, educators can feel more engaged and equipped to create safe spaces that enhance learning.
Part 1: Leveraging Self-regulation Tools for Educators (1.5 hours)
Part 2: Helping Students Build Their Emotional Toolkits (1.5 hours)
Building upon part one, part two will find educators continuing to expand their emotional toolkits with self-initiated, self-regulation tools/resources that are easy to implement and share. By normalizing self-regulation practices in the classroom, educators will guide students in developing resilience, empowering them to thrive in their educational journeys both inside the classroom and beyond.
